Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of BAS's flagship cultural programmes.
About the Role

The Programmes & Projects Coordinator will lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of BAS's portfolio of cultural productions, community initiatives, and strategic programmes — working across departments to ensure everything runs on time and on brief.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate end-to-end delivery of BAS programmes including The Matriarch's Verse, AfroGastro, and community initiatives
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets with leadership
  • Liaise with artists, vendors, partners, and government stakeholders
  • Monitor programme outcomes and prepare impact reports
  • Support grant applications and funding documentation
Requirements
  • 3+ years experience in project or programme management, ideally in the arts or cultural sector
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Ghana's creative and cultural landscape
  • Passion for arts, culture, and social impact

Communications & Social Media Manager
Drive BAS's digital presence, storytelling, and brand voice across all channels.
About the Role

We're seeking a creative communicator to manage BAS's brand narrative across social media, press, and digital platforms — shaping how Africa's creative ecosystem is perceived locally and globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute monthly content calendars across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X
  • Write compelling copy for social media, newsletters, and press releases
  • Coordinate photography and video production for events
  • Manage media relations and respond to press enquiries
  • Track analytics and report on content performance
Requirements
  • 2+ years in social media management, communications, or PR
  • Strong copywriting with a distinctive, culturally-aware voice
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar design tools
  • Interest in African arts, literature, and cultural sectors
  • Photography or video editing experience is an advantage

Fundraising & Partnerships Officer
Identify and secure funding, grants, and strategic partnerships to grow BAS's impact.
About the Role

BAS is growing and we need a skilled development professional to diversify our funding base — researching grant opportunities, writing proposals, and cultivating partnerships with corporations, foundations, and development organisations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and identify grant opportunities from local and international foundations
  • Write high-quality grant proposals and funding applications
  • Develop and manage relationships with current and prospective partners
  • Support development of partnership agreements and MoUs
  • Work with leadership on the annual fundraising strategy
Requirements
  • 3+ years in fundraising, development, or grant writing
  • Proven track record of securing funding for NGOs, arts organisations, or cultural institutions
  • Outstanding writing skills — proposals must be compelling, clear, and strategic
  • Knowledge of UN SDG frameworks and international cultural funding is a plus

Bring BAS's cultural productions to life through logistics, creative direction, and media.
About the Role

The Creative Producer will support the development and execution of BAS's experiential events, performances, and media content — working closely with the programmes team to ensure creative vision is realised with precision and artistry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support production planning for events including The Matriarch's Verse and AfroGastro
  • Coordinate with artists, technicians, caterers, and venue managers
  • Assist in creating audio-visual content for BAS productions
  • Manage on-site logistics and production timelines
  • Document events through photography and videography
Requirements
  • 2+ years in event production, creative production, or live events
  • Photography and/or video editing skills
  • Strong creative sensibility and attention to detail
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends during productions
  • Genuine passion for the arts and live cultural experiences
